April 9th awards banquet was a great success.  We had 16 Patriot's Pen and 1 Jr. Art contestant present.  Awards were also given out to Smitty, Dwayne Jesse, and the Honor Guard. 
 
April 9th Guest of Honor was Department of New Mexico Commander Cathy Brock.  She talked about history being all around us.
 
April 9th elections were held.  Shana Manely was elected as Commander.  She will take over on June 19th after State convention.  District meeting is April 16th at post 2182.  All are invited to come.  Installation of officers will be held followinh district meeting.
