We had a good turnout at the campgrounds for Mother's Day.  Thank you to all put this on and all who perticipated.  The post made a little money on the day.  All had a good time.  Hope to see everyone out there next time we have a picnic out there.

VFW posr 2182 is having many activities over Memorial Day weekend.  All help is encouraged and would be welcome.  On Fri May 25th at 0800 we will meet to head out to the out of town cemeteries to put out crosses.  On Sat and Sun May 25 and 26 we will be handing out Buddy Poppies at many stores all day long, sign up sheets are at post.  And on Mon May 28 we will be doing our ceremonies at Memory Gardens, Greenlawn, and Vietnam Veterans Park starting at 0900.  After that we will be going out to...

There will be a meeting with the head f the NM Workforce on June 8 at 0900 at VFW post 2182 to explain about the veterans standdown this fall.  All are welcome to hear what is being planned.  Please come to hear the information firsthand and so you can ask any questions you might have.

There will be a Mother's Day Lunch at the VFW 2182 camoground on Sunday May 13 at 12 Noon.  Itwill include a $4 chicken lunch.  All members and families are invited.

We had our awards banquet on Sat April 28.  We had 5 participants come.  We had about 30 people total there.  We had as our Guest of Honor the State of New Mexico Ladies Aux President Kathleen Lopez.  Thank you everyone who helped put this on.  The kids al had a great time.  Hope to see you all again next year.

The Ladies Aux had their elections last Wed.  Congratulations to all the incoming officers.  A new list of the officers will be put out later this week.  Great job this past year to all the officers who are ending their year as officers in June.  You have almost made it another year.

The Ladies Aux will be having their meeting on Wed April 4 at 7 PM.  The VFW will be having its meeting on Sat April 14 at 10 AM.  All members are asked to come.  That will be the days we elect next years officers.  We look forward to seeing you there.

It turned out we had the Easter party at a local park.  We had 18 kids and their families show up and have a great time.  We did egg hunt and coloring pages.  Thank you to all the VFW and Ladies Aux members that helped with this event.  Pictures will be posted at a later date.
