So far we have not had very many sign up for Buddy Poppies for this weekend. We still are needing people to sign up. If you can sit at a table for an hour and hand them out, we would love to have you help. We also have buckets out at the post to drop off donated goods for the holiday baskets. We have a couple of names in already. If you know of a member or veteran or a family of a veteran that is in need of a basket tell either Quartermaster Jerry Smalley or Commander Jim Clark or Sr. Vice Mark Decker and the information will be passed on. Thanks for your help and cooperation.

Again this year we will be taking donations fro holiday baskets to give out to needy vets and their families. If you would like to donate some food or leave a family name on the list, come on by the post and let us know. We will be giving out the baskets for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. State Convention was this past weekend. We now have our newly elected officers in place for 2011-2012. The convention was a success for Post 2182. The MOC received many awards including the top award for the state. The Ladies Aux also brought many awards home this year. A very special JOB WELL DONE to Barbra Chokie, this years President of the Year for NM in our catergory. Let us strive to keep up the good work in the upcoming year.

Memorial Day is less then a month away. We still need volunteers for the guard on the NM

We as VFW 2182 are in the running for Pepsi refresh grants. It is under Appreciation Dinner for Veterans of

Congratulations to everyone who was elected into office this year in both the VFW and VFW Ladies Aux. This year has been a great success in my opinion. Thanks to everyone who helped me through this year. Look forward to working with our incoming Commander Shanna Manley when she takes over in June.
